a. Information About the Elderly User

  • Name, age, and contact details
  • Voice interactions, conversations, and responses
  • Reminders, schedules, and medication details
  • Wellness check-ins and emergency requests
  • Device information e.g., smartphone/tablet details, OS version

b. Information About Family Members & Caregivers

  • Name, relationship to the elderly user, and contact details
  • Messages sent to the elderly user (metadata, not content)
  • Video and audio call logs (metadata, not recordings)
  • Emergency contact details
  • Calendar and reminder settings

c. Automated Data Collection

  • Usage Data: Frequency of interactions, feature usage
  • Health Data (Optional): If a user is connected to Apple Health or Google Health, Phamily may access health-related data (e.g., blood pressure, glucose levels) after obtaining explicit user consent
  • Device & System Logs: Diagnostic and performance data

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide a voice-driven AI companion for elderly users
  • Facilitate natural conversations and personalized assistance
  • Send wellness updates and emergency alerts to family members
  • Provide reminders for medications and appointments
  • Enable instant communication features e.g., intercom, video calls
  • Improve AI systems to enhance user experience (using anonymised data)
  • We do not use personal information for marketing purposes without consent

4. How We Store & Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

  • End-to-end encryption for all communications
  • Secure cloud storage compliant with relevant security standards

  • Voice interactions & wellness data: Stored securely for a limited period to improve response accuracy, then deleted
  • Emergency alerts & intercom call logs: Retained for security and legal compliance, then anonymised
  • Health data (if enabled): Retained only as long as necessary and stored separately from other data

5. Sharing & Disclosure of Information

We do not sell or rent personal data. We only share data in the following circumstances:

  • With authorised family members/caregivers (as per user settings)

6. User Control & Privacy Choices

We provide users with control over their personal information:

  • Access & Correction: Users can request access to their stored data and request corrections
  • Opt-Out & Deletion: Users can delete their voice interaction history or deactivate their account

Phamily is designed for elderly users and their families. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
